US weekly crude steel output declines

According to data released by the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI), the US's weekly crude steel output totaled 1.850 million short tons in the week ended on May 25th, down by 2.8% from 1.904 million short tons in a week ago.

Besides, the figures fell by 6.1% in comparison of 1.970 million short tons in the same period of a year ago.

In the given period of time, the country's average capability utilization was at 77.2%, lower than 79.5% in a week ago.
